Ye. We were the best team that year and it was written all over us throughout the year (barring a tough stretch). The NL could have thrown anyone up there. We were always going to clean house.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Most of the people down here this time around were like "well hopefully we won't get swept". I've told people the Sox were basically a pitching buzzsaw that season and anyone the NL put up was probably going down in 5 or 6 games tops.

Funny how the Sox as bad as they were this year took four of six from Houston including a sweep. Granted it was during the Astros "dark time" this summer but still.

The parade was fun to watch, couldn't go cause my kids were legitimately sick but watched it on TV.

I saw a graphic last week on MLB Network that listed the longest waits for a franchise to win their first World Series title. The Astros have won the WS in their 56th season of existence. The longest waits have been as follows:

1. Phillies - 77 years (won 1st WS in 1980)
2. Orioles/St. Louis Browns - 63 years (won 1st WS in 1966)
3. Rangers/Wash. Senators - 57 seasons and counting (1961 expansion team)
4. Astros - 56 years ('62 expansion team)
5. Dodgers - 52 years (won 1st WS in 1955)
