Default Sporcle Saturday: White Sox pitchers & catchers to start a season since 1980?

This was a great quiz.

I missed the 1980 catcher, 1998 catcher and 1999 starting pitcher.

Here's the same quiz, going back to 1960.

Only problem is it doesn't leave you enough time. I was constantly busy and had filled in all the gaps back to the late '80s when it ended. Still got 83/116.

I could have sat here all day and not thought of the 1980 battery.
JB's attendance record:
2004: 14-5; 2005: 16-8; 2006: 19-10; 2007: 8-12; 2008: 15-7; 2009: 6-13; 2010: 12-11; 2011: 9-8; 2012: 11-7; 2013: 8-9; 2014: 7-9; 2015: 10-10; 2016: 13-10; 2017: 8-5; Total: 156-124.

76/76 with 2:47 remaining. I pulled the catcher from 1980 out of my...you know.

So I went back and did the second quiz back to 1960. Some of those years pre-date me, but that's where collecting baseball cards come in handy. I scored 112/116.

I was surprised to see the same catcher started Opening Day of 1979. The catcher from 1978 completely out of left field, but I got him too. It was a reminder that signing Carlton Fisk was huge.

I missed the starting pitchers from 1963 and 1967, and the starting catchers from 1965 and 1966.

71/76, couldn't remember the Sox catcher before Charles Johnson in 2000 and I never would have gotten the one from '98 or '80. Missed the starting pitcher from '82 and '88. The only reason I got the one from '89 is because I have seen his photography a lot online and someone talked about the '80 Opening Day starter in another thread I had just read.

Go Sox!!!

I got 68. I really should have gotten the 2012 pitcher. Every other one I missed was from the 80s and had almost no shot at.

I'm kicking myself for 2012 also, but let's not be blamed here based on the incompetence.
