Somewhere Paul Konerko just shed a single tear.

I certainly hope not, since Paulie was drafted as a catcher/3rd baseman!

Lottery tickets are good athletes with high pedigree who have yet to put it all together. Not 22 year old first basemen who canít hit at the 4th highest level of the minors.

I've become resigned to seeing stink lines drawn around Rick Hahn's picture on this thread after every last Sox transaction - even the most mundane one involving a C-level prospect.

Just wait until the Rule 5 protection and then draft takes place in a few weeks. Holy ****, no doubt it'll be another epic failure by the White Sox. Stink lines won't be enough.....get ready to add horns, a devil-goatee, and missing teeth to that RH picture.

No form of medieval punishment is too good for JR, KW, and Hahn!

UmmmÖ.no. Mike Scioscia told him to move to First because it presented more opportunities than Catcher.

Do you have stats, etc. showing Paulie was "so bad" at Third or Catcher?

I believe I've read that because of some hip issues he really had limited range at third base.

Sure, same dynamic also makes first basemen a bit cheaper on the free agent market than similar players who play a more skilled defensive position.

#WhiteSox interested in *both* Manny Machado and Bryce Harper, source confirms, although itís too early to know how realistic it is for them to sign either. #WhiteSox have second lowest current 2019 payroll commitment of any

This is not surprising. I feel like a lot of people are overlooking the Sox this offseason.

The Sox are being overlooked for good reason. That Albert Belle signing was a long time ago...
