You look at those Cubs OBP's, esp compared to White Sox OBP's and you wonder how they ever lose a game or we win one. But the unthinkable is happening and folks are panicking. Q's gotta show up tomorrow. Fun times.

Oh hell, they'll make the playoffs "irregardless."

What happens if they end up with the same record?

Too bad the Brew Crew dropped 7 of 8 to the Bad Guys back in April. Ah, if only they could have managed at least one more win then.

Those footsteps you hear? The Wild Card Horses running the Wrigley.....

If the Brewers can pick just a little bit of pitching in the offseason, next year won't be fun the Northside. Theo will have to figure out how to work around his two biggest contracts he did this year: Chatwood and Darvish.

Brew Crew now only a half game out, this weekend will be very interesting, the Brewers will host a lousy Tiger team while the Cubs and Cards will be in Wrigley with First Place on the line for the Cubs while the Cards will be fighting for their lives and the last playoff spot. By Sunday night a lot of Cub fans could be on suicide watch.

If the Cards play like they did last weekend, they could very well force a tie-breaker against the Cubs, staying at Wrigley Field for an extra game. Imagine the Cards knocking the Cubs out of first this weekend (by letting the Brewers pass them) and then completing the job by beating them in the Wild Card game?

Cubs gave up a 6-1 lead and now must bat in the bottom of the nineth inning.

The Cubs officially have been to playoffs more times over the past four years than the Sox have been my entire fandom. This rebuild better be worth it because the last thing I want is for it to flop, thus setting us back another five or 10 years.

it is not a good comparison though. The NL central over the past few years has been very weak. Right, when the Cubs started their run the Pirates tanked and Reds well are the Reds and St. Louis was dealing away a lot of their talent or had little talent left from their glory runs. It is not hard to go to the playoffs if the only competition is Milwaukee.

That's also not a good comparison; you do know this season's AL Central was one of the worst overall divisions in baseball history?
