Good point. Still not a huge issue to me.

One thing for certain: no one can accuse us of being bandwagon front-runners.

It wouldn't be correct.

They aren't technically the "Sox".

They are the "White Sox" and idk how they can do a crossword with a space.

I'm sure they thought about it but usually there are only 4 words.

Pat making mention of the White Sox was good enough for me.

As one of the responses alluded to, ESPNís response is a clown answer and is effectively the opposite of professionalism. Itís as if their collective feelings are hurt and they just donít want to admit to journalistic malpractice.

It also smacks of a typical, ignorant, arrogant Cub fan response of "quit living in the past." So ESPN can write about the great storied Yankee and Red Sox teams of the past, and the great accomplishments of the past etc. etc., but when someone asks why they don't do it for the 2005 White Sox, we get a smart ass, unprofessional response.

And of course there are a few Cubbie clowns posting "Oh, yeah. Schooled!" and "Ohhhhhhhh, ****!" memes. Get a ****ing clue. Morons.

As much as I agree the Sox should be recognized, we as fans make it pretty easy to be forgotten too. I don't really mean anyone on this board, usually your more hard core fans stick around places like this. But when you are constantly bottom 5-10 in attendance, even in a massive market, the media is going to ignore you.

Speaking the truth right here. If not for live games during college football and basketball season and the College World Series, I'd likely never watch ESPN.

Someone described them as TMZ-like and it's true. I don't give a damn about the Ball family and what they're doing.

As for baseball, ESPN doesn't care unless it's the Cubs, Boston or the Yankees. Bleep them.

This one might be headed for a shower head award. In fact I'm willing to bet we get there...

I think the Sox will be in much better shape than ESPN in 5 years.
