The more we do these every year, the more I am getting annoyed by how poor we have been since then.
It's sad to me that I remember one event every year just because it has not even come close to getting better since.

Interesting pattern, I wonder if we're due for another down year next year. |

Not to get all Bill James on here, but it seems like the regression to the mean always happens the next season. Hopefully the Sox can keep a player or two, Jake's gone I believe anyway, maybe add a pitcher or two, and take advantage of the division for once and be in contention again next year.

I still got a little shiver at 3:10 watching Uribe charge the ball and make the throw to end it.
Hard to believe it's been 7 years. |

It's funny how easy they made it look and yet how hard it is too actually get there and win it. It's so much luck and circumstance as much as talent. The years since have taught us nothing if not how hard it is too get to that level. you got 30 some teams all with the idea to get there . The key for another title run is getting this team in the position where it makes the playoffs most years.

2011 seemed like about five of those years.

October26 - Twenty-SEVEN years ago, I married my husband on October 26. Since that day, we have been blessed with a wonderful family. Then, on October 26, 2005, when the baseball gods bestowed their good fortunes upon us, we saw the White Sox win the World Series. An incredibly talented team of grinders made every Sox fan's dream come true. My family and I celebrated with reckless abandon. And now, we look forward to that day when our White Sox will once again be World Series Champions! |

I think its time to pull ou the 2005 DVDs and do a little reminiscing this weekend. Been a Sox Fan 40+ years, made a promise that I would be happy with one World Series win during my lifetime.
I lied. I NEED two. I made every home playoff game in 2005 (along with about 20 - 25 regular season games). My only regret was not going to Houston (never thought Id say that!) for game 4. palehosepub

When I was born, it was 40 years. When it happened, I was 48.
Seven years isn't really such a long time. |
