Jose Abreu projects to make somewhere around $17-18 million this year, the same as Donaldson made in 2017. This $23 million provides a comparable for Abreu when he goes into his final year of arbitration in 2019.
The real question is how much these guys will get as free agents after already establishing AAVs north of $20 million in their final years of arbitration.
