This sucks.
Nothing surprises me anymore on the injury front. Basically I'm shocked when they go three straight days without one.

Jesus. Right after winning player of the week. It's like we got too excited because we may have a nice thing, and the baseball gods wanted us to **** ourselves

Madrigal does not have a strikeout in 28 at bats.

The death of his cousin on June 1st really hit him hard. Pretty apparent that it affected him more than he wants to admit. Cruising along with a mid 3's ERA through April and May, he hit the skids immediately after the tragedy and it's taken about a month for him to grieve and focus back in.

Shouldn't be a surprise to anyone. Easily the best bat/eye in the draft, will rise through the ranks quickly in a similar way to Keston Hiura.

Agreed,. It is just amazing to have a sure fire player on the Sox. Having a low k guy like him will drive opposing defenses nuts

Opposing defenses? If you think he'll drive the opposing defense mad, think of how crazy he'll make opposing pitchers!

Injuries aren't just affecting the Sox. Cubs 1st rounder out for the year with an elbow injury.

It's not much of an in-depth article, just talks about how he speaks English and how he learned it to facilitate his communication skills with teammates. Talks about his injuries this year and asks him to rate himself offensively (10) and defensively (6) on a scale of 1-10.

Talks a bit about his transition to AAA and how the Sox made the move to force him to face more breaking pitches and off-speed stuff to see how he'd react.

Any whispers about Lambert's injury? I'm sure there will be tests conducted. Just wondering if it's a shoulder, elbow, precaution, etc.

I see that Madrigal had 2 more hits and 2 RBI last night. I think Walker had another hit or two as well.
