The removed Pollyanna from the Go Go Sox Grille, but Full Lemonty golden ale is still available at the South Side Hitmen Grille (140). There's a new Pollyanna South Side Blonde Ale in the Beggars Pizza Pub. It tasted pretty hoppy to be a blonde ale though; I wonder if they substituted a keg of Mazzie in its place. Also Full Lemonty in cans at the Midwest Brews stands.

I was able to do a complete lap around the lower level concourse yesterday to see all the different options. Surly Xtra Citra draft was available at quite a few concession stands. Its a good choice since it is only 4.5% ABV but still tastes very good. The Corona Light stand down the right field line did have limes. The Beggars Pizza in center field has Shock Top Belgian on draft which is decent. Is Old Style that popular that it deserves multiple taps at almost every concession stand? The last time I had it was at Wrigley and it tasted terrible as opposed to just bland like Bud Light. |

I love the variety of beers around the ballpark- but in some ways the Sox have made something that could be great- kind of complicated.
First- I tried Modelo this week- thought it sucked, and I can't stand Budweiser products- would be nice to have a few basic, light beer options in addition to all the others- especially for the vendors working the seats. Crowds are so small right now- so lines are short- but if/when the crowds come back...leaving my seat to stand in a long line vs. settling for a light beer so I can stay focused on the game is going to be frustrating. I may be wrong- but it seems like the beer options are inconsistent stand by stand, and the options at the Club Level are completely inconsistent with what's available in the 100 level (I was told it's because that is under a different contract or something). The variety is really cool- but seems a little chaotic to me,

While I applaud the Sox for their selection of beer, they've officially crossed my cost threshold. I can no longer justify the cost of a beer at a game.

Have prices increased from last year? Or are you talking about new offerings?

Prices are up. $10 domestic drafts. $9.75 aluminum cans.

Yeah, it sucks with knowing that's almost the cost for a 12 pack at the Jewel. But that's the industry pricing, even higher at some other venues. And people keep buying it.
All entertainment businesses are the same. Go see what a bag of popcorn costs at the theater these days. You just have to be prepared to pay these prices, or else don't even bother leaving the house. Just to clarify here, this is not a Sox issue only. |

We go a lot to MiLB games in Peoria a lot. A very friendly experience and much cheaper. When we do pick a Sox game, we decide on a budget. It would be nice to go more, but MLB has priced us out from going to as many games as we used to each year.

I know they're in line with other venues, but at a certain point a line is crossed and less beer is sold. Maybe that's their objective |
