The White Sox have the best selection of beer at a sports stadium I've ever seen.

Too bad it's not decently priced.

The Crain's article said that selection will only grow this year, too.

Beyond Chicago, Coors Field unsurprisingly has a good selection.

And the prices were surprisingly good when I went to a soccer game last summer in Denver (well, Commerce City) at Sporting Goods Park. I think 12oz cans of local craft (don't remember which of Denver's zillion breweries) were $6?

I assume PetCo also has a good selection, though I've never been.

The Oakland Coliseum had a local brewery (don't remember the name) with it's own stand of draft beers when I was there a couple years ago. It wasn't the best beer I've ever had, craft or otherwise, but it was a standout at an otherwise drab place.

I know it's not beer but is beverage-related, it seems like the Sox are switching back to Coke products. The electronic marquee on 35th and Wentworth this morning was showing ads for Coke.

I remember the Sox serving Coke products when I worked for SportService back in high school.

As long as the pop is cold, either Coke or Pepsi is fine with me.

It seems they're sticking to midwest craft beers. Maybe I'll just take a road trip to San Diego, they have a Ballast Point beer garden at Petco.

I'm not sure if this has been mentioned in any other threads but the vendors now sell Bud/Bud Light instead of MGD/Lite. Modelo, Bud Light, and even Old Style were available from the regular concession stands. I did find a beer stand selling a few different Goose Island drafts with plenty of micro brews but the line was long. I had a large Modelo draft which is a beer that I usually like but for whatever reason I did not like it in 20oz draft form. Maybe it needs a lime which were not available. I also had a Goose Island Four Star Pils draft which was significantly better but only 16oz. I did not see any Miller or Coors products available.

I couldn't find Miller yesterday. MOdelo and bud light were the most prevalent.

MLB as a whole is switching from Pepsi to Coke. This won't affect 11 teams that have their own deals with Pepsi.

I didn't see Miller anywhere either. All vendors seemed to have either Bud products or Modelo.

Gotta have a lime in it. Plus a touch of salt doesn't hurt.

Always buy from Sec 142, Eileen. For years she's been running that Corona stand. She's always got the lime and now salt packets there for you.

They need to have these vendors carry lime with them if they are going to be selling Modelo/Corona in the stands.

There are Bell's and Founders draft stands in the OF concourse. This is really all you need. Stop drinking bad beer.
