Eloy's likely to file a grievance. I don't blame him.

Here are all 373 pages, including 14 table of contents, the 2017-2021 CBA. In my brief perusal I have been unable to find the section about promotion to the major league club based on minor league performance. Could someone help me out with violations of the CBA by the White Sox and other major league clubs that constitute a grievance?

I don't know if there's technically a grievance as they cannot prove he's being held back due to $$$$, which is why he probably won't win. This is more of what Kris Bryant did- making a statement.

Those are juts words on a paper.

But, the players did agree to those words...……

Lost in the hyperventilating about Eloy's complaint is that the agent probably stands to make more $$$$$$ once he is brought up (percentage of the paycheck).

Someone remind me, when was Eloy's last home run? Three weeks ago? Just asking...….

Eh. His power will come. He probably finishes with 8 or so and that is not too bad going from a total of 2. I think he grows into a 15- 20 home run hitter with 100 rbi production. Solid for an outfielder likely protected by power bats

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

That's how I feel about both Rutherford's and Sheets's power. I'm glad they're hitting the ball well for average now and let's see if that power develops in the next year or so before becoming too concerned about it. No doubt they'll both need to develop more power if they're ever going to become high-level MLB players, but they're both still young and early in their minor league careers. Rutherford was drafted out of HS and is still only 21.

Fun fact: Rutherford is tied for the Carolina League lead in triples this year with 9.

I wouldn’t expect Rutherford and Sheets to put up big power numbers in AA, given Birmingham’s Regions Field being among the larger AA stadia. As such, I won’t be disappointed if they continue hitting for solid average and XBHs in Birmingham, and then hope that the power shows up in increased HR totals in Charlotte in 2020 and Chicago in 2021.

Next season is a big one for many of our young bats moving up from lower levels. We should get a pretty good idea what kind of position talent we really have headed towards Chicago in the next 2-3 years.

We're nearing the end of the minor league season. Some highlights from yesterday:
AAA: Adams - 7.0 IP, 6 H, 1 ER, 0 BB, 4 K
AA: Flores - 6.0 IP, 5 H, 0 ER, 0 BB, 3 K
Collins: 2 for 3, 1 BB
Basabe: 1 for 3, 2 BB
High A: Sheets, Madrigal, Gonzalez - 1 for 4 each.
Forbes - 2 for 4 with a HR

Hansen with another rough outing. What a lost season for him. Let's hope he gets back on track during any offseason work he does and spring training next year.

If all the OF talent we have continues to develop as they have this year, I wonder at what point do some of these guys get traded for other organizational needs?

I don't think we'll see many moves until 2020 earliest and wouldn't be surprised if it was 2021. Have to get the top ranks to the majors and find out what we have first. Then we can figure out who we can afford to trade and what the needs are.

Gonzalez 1 for 4, 2B, and finishes at .313.
Sheets 1 for 4, HR, 2 RBI, finishes at .294 and 61 RBI.
