2000 White Sox pitching legend Cal Eldred is also the new pitching coach of the Royals this year.

On a side note, Melky Cabrera does not have a roster spot for an MLB team. That's pretty amazing considering he is a switch hitter and had himself a more than respectable year last year.

Crazy how Melky at only 33 years old is not on a ML roster.

Look at what he did with the Royals after being traded. He was so putrid that he brought his overall season numbers below replacement level.

He doesnít have much power in his bat, he doesnít cover much ground in the outfield, and he doesnít provide much value on the basepaths. Now take the depressed offseason market into account. Iím not surprised at all that he doesnít have a roster spot.

Matt Albers is the 11th highest paid player on the Milwaukee Brewers and begins the season in their bullpen

That's right: he makes more than his Brewers teammate, Boone Logan

Adam Eaton is 1-2 so far (to go with a monster day yesterday) and is now batting .700 on the season.

Measly .727 OBP, though.

Adam Eaton to 10-day DL with bone bruise in his ankle. Moises Sierra called up to fill his roster spot.

Sierra has not played in a big league game since his stint with the Sox in 2014.

Haven't seen this one yet- Brandon MacCarthy in the Braves rotation.
