Default *Official* 9/15 Can't Even Score 10 and Win Postgamer

You can't score 10 and lose. You just can't.

Two walk-off losses in a row. Ugh.

Nice grand slam by Castillo, though. Time to pick up his option for 2020.

The second half has been unbearable. Ticket rep keeps calling, I keep dodging calls.

Obviously, you can. In fact, the Tigers scored 11 in a loss to the White Sox in April. Really, you shouldn't, especially after taking a five-run lead into the bottom of the eighth against a team with an even worse record than yours.

The bases loaded walk after the intentional walk (I think the Cubs did that to lose a game not too long ago) didn't feel any less deflating than Saturday night's ain't-that-a-kick-in-the-head loss.

Answer them and tell them you'll make up your mind on renewal closer to the deadline. You want to see how the off season plays out before committing. Ask them to stop calling until December 1st.

Hector Santiago, Kelvin Herrera, Jace Fry, Josh Osich, and Jose Ruiz are all bad. Itís not that much of a surprise.

That's the logical answer, but I'll probably also be fuming at all the free agents off the board or off our radar we aren't signing on December 1st. I've been pretty close to done with my season tickets, and if it wasn't for the Machado ruse I probably wouldn't have re-upped this year.

Well that gives you 2.5 months to see if they make any moves and then you can decide if those moves are enough for you to re-up. You can always change your mind later anyway, not like your seats are in section 132.

Both losses on questionable calls on the final play. Stone was emphatic tonight that the last night's walk off HR should have been called a double because it bounced off the yellow line on top of the wall and back into play without touching anything else. He was unhappy that review was not requested on a game-ending play in a one-run game. And ball four tonight had the plate. Still, most of the bullpen looks badly burned out.

Machado's pitching this season and well into the future would have made all the difference this season, I'm sure. The Padres, by the way, have lost three games this season by an 11-10 score. Just because the Padres have three fewer losses than the White Sox doesn't mean Machado would made the White Sox that much better.

Seattle is awful. To blow a game like that when score 10 runs is normally inexcusable, but what the hell does it matter anyway. Just get rid of those responsible.

Will that make everything better?

It's at the point in the season that I'm rooting for games like this. Three hits apiece for Moncada and Eloy. Move one game up in the race towards a better draft pick. It doesn't really bother me that Nova and Santiago combined to give up 8 runs.

Where did I write that I prefer the status quo? In fact, I strongly dislike the status quo.

That doesn't mean any deviation from the status quo will be an improvement. Whatever this team does, short of some painful trades that aren't going to happen, some astute, cost efficient free-agent signings and such, simply getting rid of guys isn't going to help.
