One of the highlight games this season for sure. A whole bunch of offense, and McCann has the biggest blow to hopefully turn his second half around.

This game was like a prize fight, with both teams trading punches . with James McCann providing the knockout blow.

I was hoping for a 3-3 homestand against 2 tough teams and the Sox came through.
Now comes a tough 7 game road trip, 3-4 would be fine, when Moncada returns and no one else gets hurt the Sox could make a run at 80 wins.

And the long outing today by Colomť was made possible because of the Nova masterpiece. Success snowballs.

Very nice to take 2 out of 3 from a recognized powerhouse team in the AL. Let's keep that offensive momentum going on the upcoming road trip.

Now that's a good old fashioned White Sox game. Beat some tough pitchers too. TA has that average up again, but his power is yet to return. Oh well, if the singles and walk in the 8th don't happen, McCann doesn't get to bat and deposit that backup slider. The damn padding stole a run from us in the 4th, who to blame? The owner?

Thinking of power, why was Springer trying to hit a 5 run homer with 2 out and the bases empty down 4 in the 9th? Is situational hitting that dead?

What the hey, one happy Sox fan here.

The way that you wrote that, you'd never know that McCann has consistently been one of the best hitters on this team with a .288 average.

If that was a really "good old fashioned White Sox game" from the Go-Go Sox days of 1951-1967 when the team had 16 consecutive winning seasons, the score would have been either 1-0 or 2-1 instead of the steroids kind of baseball that too many fans seem to like nowadays.

The Sox have been slugging there way to wins for several decades now. Maybe its you definition of old fashioned that needs adjusting .

At that point in the game, Springer was trying to pad his numbers, and yes situational hitting is deader than a door nail.

I have to say 2020 we will be in the playoffs and going to surprise many. We have been competitive against the big boys with our decimated pitching staff and holes in the lineup. Next year will see 3 or 4 improvements in the team and away we go. Don't stop believing.

Thatís the spirit! Four of seven this year with the Astros? Thatís nothing to sneeze at.
