Thompson (recently promoted) with a solid 2 inning save at AA
Very good start by Adams at AAA
Good starts yesterday for the starting pitchers at each of the top 4 affiliates, with Adams (AAA), Tomshaw (AA), Parke (A+), and Rigler (A-) each giving up 1 run or less.

For all the armchair doctors out there who think Burger is done, chew on this (puns intended):

DeMarcus Cousins signed a free agency contract for one year, 5.3 million with Warriors and is expected to play when the post season starts.

What does this have to with Burger? Cousins blew his Achilles Tendon on January 31st this year and had season-ending surgery. As you can imagine Basketball is probably one of (along with Football) the most unforgiving sports for the Achilles Tendon.

Very true but it also looks like Cousins is in much better shape physically (have you seen the videos he's been posting during his rehab?) then Burger, much different body type.

We'll see what happens (assuming Burger finally gets back on the field to actually play)

Hansen struggling once again.

5 Walks in 2 innings.

Can't keep using the rust excuse here, something might be wrong with him.

Or, really tall young pitchers are more prone to their mechanics getting out of adjustment (or taking longer to get perfected after an an injury rehab), and that was true of Hansen before he missed the first half of this season.

Well...

This from Garfien earlier tonight:

"Blake Rutherford flipped over the short right field wall in Winston-Salem trying to make a catch. He was limping as he walked off the field under his own power. He's been replaced by Mitch Roman."

Keep your fingers crossed yet again.

Wonderful. Hopefully, just a precautionary removal.

Have to start talking about Flores as someone who can be a surprise starter for us. Scintilating for AA right now.

Saw where the Sox lost one of their prospects today, they've granted him his release so he can play in Japan.

Donn Roach. Not really a prospect. More of a AAA/AAAA fill in.

Yup. Still think it's time for Kopech to move up come September.

I don't see why based on his outings the past month. Last night, he threw 74 pitches in 3 innings and walked 4. He really needs to improve his efficiency first.

I agree. Given Kopech's still inconsistent command, he hasn't yet earned promotion to Chicago.

Agree- promotions need to be based on results not potential.
