Default Time for the Cody Asche experiment to end

Now that he's playing down to his track record, there's no reason to keep him around. Bring up Hayes or Delmonico and give Abreu more time at DH.

Because of him the bat has been taken out of the hands of the Sox best hitter.

Ha! Was just thinking this. I get that the goal is not to win this year - I do - but a cursory perusal of this guys stat sheet reveals him to be, literally, the anti-DH.

He makes outs at an alarming rate. Don't know his history but it's difficult to believe he is on a ML roster.

If he is going to be the assigned designated "hitter" logic would assume we than just start playing guys out of position throughout the lineup to be consistent.

Developing players is the goal...and Asche appears to have zero upside. A hot spring was only that.

Move on. Easy call.

We should be rotating Abreu, Frazier and Davidson at DH or tell Abreu that he is the DH period, if he balks, play him some video replays showing his stellar defense at first base the last 2 years.

I know Frazier had the flu last week, anyone know why is he still out?

Building himself back up, I heard it hit him hard and he lost quite a bit of weight.

I didn't think Asche belonged in the majors when I saw him with the Phillies last year. I was surprised when I saw he was in camp with the Sox. I was surprised he made the team.

After he made the team, I hoped he would hit better. Now I'm just hoping he gets released.

Remember, it took this team two months to finally make Jerry Sands go away. The move won't come soon, if it even comes at all.

Don't be so sure. There are two younger, lefthanded hitters they want to get looks at, and Willy Garcia. All have more upside.
