Hah, still weird to see skipper Omar Vizquel. 7.1 IP, 9K, 4H, 2BB, 1 ER for Cease, great outing.

Cease and Kopech have elite stuff.

I can make the argument Cease is the better of the two right now.

I keep saying it: Rodon, Kopech, Hansen, Lopez, Cease

That's my 5.

Hansen is my one maybe. He is tall and has had forearm issues. I worry about him. Rodon works if we can find a way to sign him.

Cease is absolutely incredible. And he is pitching long outings now. He is almost halfway to his last year total. I expect him to be the De Grom of the Syndegaard De Grom tandem.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

"Dan Victor
@slydanno70

Carlos Rodon has looked fantastic in his brief rehab and then takes a liner off the head. Poor guy is truly snake bit. On the good side people say he walked off the field laughing. Hopefully no big deal."

Saw another tweet where he wanted to stay in the game but they wouldn't let him.

This whole organization is snake bit when it comes to injuries since 2016.

Good news is Rodon got right back up. Smart by Grudzielanek to take him out anyways. No reason to take any chances even if Rodon is ok.

Here's a video of Rodon getting hit by a line drive:

I'm glad he was able to walk off the field from a shot like that.

Cease tonight: 7.1 IP, 4 H, 1 R, 2 BB, 9 K
Great to see him go into the 8th inning.

Zack Collins 3 for 3 with 3 walks so far in tonight's game. He's got his average up to .265 after that horrendous start.

I wonder how much the Castillo suspension had to do with that...the Charlotte catcher had three hits as well!

Collins' on-base percentage is now somewhere around .446. 35 hits, and 43 walks. That's unbelievable.

By the way, Eloy had a big hit to give the Barons a two-run lead in the 10th. Hamilton had a rough outing, but hung on for the 9-8 win.

I am going to have to take the " L" on him. The guy is obviously going to be a major league catcher who is a threat on a good team. Whether he becomes as prolific as many of us hope is a different question.

You never want to get hit in the head, but if you do, that's about the best case scenario. Pretty much anywhere else on his head/face it does a lot more damage. Hopefully he'll be back on the mound soon.
