Default First Manager To Be Fired

The Milwaukee Brewers fired their manager, Ron Roenicke, tonight.

We can only hope the White Sox are the second team to fire theirs, sooner rather than later.

So disloyal, those Brewer bunch! Quitting on their manager! I know that our upstanding organization would NEVER do such a thing!!

The White Sox have Robin's personality. No fire at all, time for a change but Jerry will not do it.

And the Crew just took two of three from the Cubs.

Uh oh. What if the Brewers take Gardenhire?

Then the Sox WILL have a legit reason to stick with Ventura.

I don't quite get this. The White Sox were expected to be good, one of the most improved teams, a contender in the AL Central, etc.

Did anyone think the Brewers would be any good? I thought they were expected to have a rebuilding year. They picked up Roenick's 2016 option just before the season started. They're just not a very talented team overall, and AIUI their farm system kind of sucks, too.

Brewers GM Doug Melvin cited the Crew's record over the past 100 games as a determining factor to fire Roenicke. I don't have the stats available, but isn't Roenicke's record over the past 100 games better than Ventura's?

He's had just one losing season (not counting this season's start).
