I was more concerned about the bullpen. I can totally see it being the achilles heal when the rebuild comes to a head a couple years from now, sort of like Detroit a few years ago.

Should put Shields in the pen, theoretically Santiago could have value over the next few years

If he has a good first half Santiago should be traded at the deadline.

The Sox hitting this spring has been pretty damn good, another double digit game today in run production. I know the ball flies in Arizona but wouldn't it be great if the hitting continues like this during the season. With Shields and Fullmer in the rotation we will need to score a lot of runs.

We won't see teams running through 10 pitchers just to get them work in the regular season.

The odds of Shields having a good first half is pretty long in my book which is why I didn't list him.

If it happens great...but I'm not holding my breath on this guy who is done.

The Sox leave Arizona with a winning record and some momentum. Let's all hope for more improvement this season as the club points towards 2020.

Nor will we be getting multi-hit or multi-RBI games from players named Elmore, Fisher, Robbins, Flete, Leonard, Alvarez, Zavala, or Booker. In a 16-run game, the only player with multiple hits or multiple RBIs who will make the Opening Day roster was Adam Engel, who was 1 for 1 with 2 RBI.

These last few days have been our fillers beating their fillers. Which is better than our fillers losing to their fillers, but won't have much bearing on our season.

We might not even get a single plate appearance from that group. Injuries happen, but these aren't even the first guys who would be called up!

Zavala is probably the safest bet to make it to the bigs out of that group of players. Booker has a shot too, though he seems the Engel type.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

He doesn't have to just be good, he's got to upgrade a contender...that's a high bar. And considering his high salary, it will be a C prospect anyway.
The bullpen is where the opportunities arise. I hope the Sox move along Soria and Avilan as soon as possible, and bring in the next batch from Charlotte.
But I also think consolidating and swapping prospects to shore up weaknesses identified during the season is the next major job. They've done most of their prospect hunting, unless they move Abreu or Avi.

Add Kansas City to the list of ALC clubs that should be looking at new blood for the training staff.

Obviously you did this to get a reaction. Congratulations.

A guy tripping on the stairs / over his luggage has NOTHING to do with baseball related injuries. And you know it... you come across as a reasonably intelligent person so I assume you had an ulterior motive.

Your attempt at sarcasm misses the mark.
