Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Man it really makes me feel old when "veteran" players whose rookie years I can remember as part of my adulthood retire or are dumped from the majors.

I remember him and Anibal Sanchez being part of an exciting young Marlins core, the first green shoots of their post 2003 rebuild. Seems like yesterday.

That's a little surprising. I mean, obviously, he's not worth the money he's making, but a .254 average with 29 RBIs in 44 games doesn't scream out as a player who needs to be designated.

He has a vesting goal in his contract that gives him an additional $22M if he has 1,050 combined PAs in 2017 and 2018: https://www.boston.com/sports/boston...on-to-cut-ties

The Red Sox donít want Ramirez cutting into the playing time they want to give to Moreland or Martinez. The only other option would have been moving Betts to CF and benching Bradley Jr. instead of Ramirez, and the Red Sox donít appear interested in sacrificing defense for offense to that extent.

Irresponsible tweeting by a so called professional, what's new?
