Obviously the San Diego Padres. (wasn't it their organization ribbing the White Sox about their failure to sign MM?) You know, the club that has turned it around and are challenging the Los Angeles Dodgers for the NL West supremacy.

To believe this guy would be setting the tone in the dugout on how the younger player should handle the ups and downs of a long season is daft.

To be honest, I can take or leave the idea of player mentors and the rah-rah red-assed routine from coaches when it comes to baseball. Just give me the production, and save the swell fella and hometown hero tropes for visits to CPS schools and Little League diamonds.
