Default BREAKING: Cobb, O's reach 4-year agreement

"The Orioles' spring search for pitching took another big turn on Tuesday night, as the club has reached a four-year agreement with the best remaining free-agent arm, starter Alex Cobb."

O's are really in a no-win situation. They can't possibly hope to compete with the Yankees / Red Sox and at best are hoping to grab a second wild card slot.

Unless ownership is willing to financially pay to play with the two giants in the division they are just spinning their wheels. Doesn't matter who they sign and they'll be losing Machado and Jones soon.

Lance Lynn received a quarter of that amount, though he apparently turned down a longer offer with the O's as he thought the Twins are in a better spot to compete. Kinda crazy though.

Congrats to the Orioles for successfully bidding way too high against probably no one.

Allegedly he has a no-trade clause, which makes the move even more questionable on the part of the Orioles.
