A good move for both parties.

Seriously. Just be glad they have a prominent broadcast partner now.

The Sox on WGN radio, fantastic news!!! I may be wrong but this is one step that will make the Sox relevant again in the metro area, the next step must be a prolonged streak of winning seasons where we are contenders and can make the post season more than one year at a time. Like I said I may be wrong and not living up there anymore for 24 years maybe things have changed and over the air radio isn't all that big of a deal but right now with this move my feelings are that this is the best thing for the Sox since the Blackout game in 2008.

Yep. I'll be more than willing to put up with a couple of innings of Farmer and DJ while I run errands if it means more prominence for my favorite team in the Chicago radio market.

Like the move to WGN a lot. People across the country (in most cases) can now hear my team's games? Very good.

I think it matters more locally to be honest. There is just so much audio availability and with streaming, Radio is becoming more and more irrelevant.

I agree its time for Farmer to go, but given the short turn around, give him 1 more year.

This is a perfectly fine (and probably even good) move, but I also don't know how much it really matters, especially to younger people, because it's 2018 and there are so many other ways to access games. Still, though, better than the alternative of NOT a flagship AM radio station.

I know. I will. I just really wanted a change in the booth. I'm very happy with the move to WGN.

Absolutely. Really pleased by this news.

The WLS postgame show often was over before I could even get out of Bridgeport some days. I'm confident WGN will provide more in-depth coverage of the Sox.

I know Brooks told me he will be very interested to see if WGN can do for the Sox what they did all those years for the Cubs, from a promotional standpoint.

He also said that WGN has a stronger, better signal so they can reach more fans.

Thank you! That is also my experience with the Sox post-game show. I was going to remark on this earlier, but didn't want to get involved in the pissing contest that was taking place over whether WLS had enough in the way of Sox-related programming.

I look forward to improved coverage on WGN.

I started a thread on this last season. Hopefully, the days of zero postgame show callers will be behind us, or at least far fewer.

Fantastic news. WLS was ****ing brutal.

Now if only Guaranteed Rate could file bankruptcy to end our partnership.
