For this year it really doesnt matter and tilson/cordell shouldnt be a part of the future.

Yonder Alonso is statistically the literal worst player in baseball by fWAR and bWAR. Why they haven't DFA'd him yet blows my mind. There's no way they can continue with this charade. I'm about giving players more time and more chances, but this is pathetic.

Agreed, he'd be here primarily as a DH but could fill in in RF occasionally.

However, if they do actually trade Abreu then there is room for Palka because Collins can cover 1B on a regular basis.

Well of course they activated Jay, but they could have least had the common courtesy to cut Alonso at the same time. The Sox had 7 extra base hits all weekend. Get Palka up here.

Covey threw a bullpen session on Sunday and it sounds like it went well.

Ill say tilson. Jay should be playing everyday to gain any type of worth possible.
