Lots of posts recently talking about how the Sox will only improve when JR dies. This particular line of reasoning is morbid and reflects poorly on the site and the people making the suggestion. It comes across as rooting for JR to pass away.

Please refrain from making those insinuations on these forums. You are free to think it or post it elsewhere but we try to hold WSI to a higher standard.

Just a reminder, If you post on these forums, everyone is free to reply and even quote your post in that reply. if you don't want to talk to the poster who replies to your post feel free to ignore said response without resorting to taking it personally or getting offended and replying to say so.

Every opinion stated is by definition personal so there's no need to point it out. If you don't want to further the discussion then feel free to simply ignore the reply.

If you are looking for a rules clarification or want to report a post on the forums to a mod using the private message function, please don't assume we know what post you are referring to. Include a link or at least the name of the thread the post you are talking about is in.

And so it begins. I am now officially handing out rips to people who continuously hijack threads to discuss Sox management. You don't need to constantly restate the same thing over and over and over again in thread after thread after thread.

It's way past old. You have been warned.

Edit: I want to be clear about where these types of posts are acceptable. Game threads are fine because they are threads for venting anyway, the Hahn thread in WTS is fine. If it is a discussion about decisions specifically management has made that's fine too.

But... just because a thread talks about Sox players doesn't mean it's free rein to start trashing management for the players in question. This is the part that needs to stop.

Please refrain from dragging the latest Internet phrase "Ok Boomer" on to WSI. It's ageist, loaded with political overtones and frankly it smacks of bullying. As you know politics and bullying are strictly forbidden at WSI. We are all Sox fans. Everyone is entitled to their opinions. If you don't agree with those opinions state why or walk away without acting like a jerk.
