Laz Rivera continues his recent hot streak: 2/4 (two 2Bs)

Vaughn: 2/4 (HR and BB)

AZL team won 16-15
Matt Thompson made his 2nd appearance: 1.0 IP, 1 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 1 K

Madrigal now has his OPS at Charlotte up to .820 (20 games total).
Osik continues to simply rake at Kannapolis adding his first two HR yesterday and raising his OPS for the year there to .937. They got crushed but he has been on fire.

Also, Foster had a nice outing closing out the Charlotte win and Thompson racked up 4 more K in 2.0

At Birmingham Dropico had a scoreless 2.0 after Banks went 7.0

Banuelos started for WS and didn't pitch great. Nin continued his recent streak of donuts and got the W and Kincannon closed it out with a scoreless inning.

As mentioned, Kannapolis got shelled and even Perez got lit up for 4, but Butler -this year's 25th round pick - threw a scoreless 1.1 wth 0 H 0 BB and 3 K. After his first outing at A where he gave up 2 he has yet to yield another run and racked up 9 K in 5.1

If people knock Vaughn for being too short (6') and for also being a right handed first baseman, what will they say about Osik, who's 5'10" and RH 1B? LOL.

Okay, I looked up his stats to see if he played elsewhere on the field at Central Florida, and he did. He also played left field. So there's that avenue, maybe.

Also, according to his Central Florida profile, he was 6' while there. He's shrinking.

He's like a 25th round pick. The odds on this carrying through to the majors are pretty small but he might have trade value if he keeps it up. Plus the Sox are loaded in 1B/DH types so he's got a serious mountain to climb to get any PT.
