The real story is that for now, the Cubs rotation is bad; real bad.

That said, schadenfreude is for losers. It's time to start playing much better on the southside and ignore that team up north.
If only we could. I was checking out at the grocery store Saturday night when the bagger refused to hand me my bag of groceries because I was wearing my Sox cap.

He began to carry on about how awesome it is to be a Cubbie fan or whatever while ridiculing the Sox. I just walked away, so as to not tell him what I was really thinking.

I would dearly love to ignore the Cubs. Their fans and their fawning media will not allow it. I am not allowed to wear my Sox cap on a rainy night in the Chicago area without hearing comments about those lovable Cubbies.

I wish this was the first time something like that happened.

Agreed that it's time to start playing better baseball on the South Side. That's really the only thing that can remedy this.

I would have called for the manager on duty immediately myself had this happened to me.

I'd probably end up on the news or in the paper:

"Mean-spirited Sox fan causes good-natured Cubs fan to lose job"

"Innocent joke leads to grocery store kerfuffle"

I don't think they understand that this is the 4,698th time I've had a comment like that made to me since the Cubs became a good team about three years ago.

It's no longer funny. And then they wonder why none of us cheered for them when they were in the World Series.

I'm up north as well (Skokie). I don't usually wear a hat, but Sox shirts and the Parade Jacket are usually worn by me. When I get comments or looks from strangers it is usually a fist pump or something along the lines "your boys are heating it up!" I guess the permanent scowl on my face makes them think I'm one of those Sox fans packing heat and is about to blow.....

Did you talk to his boss? Sorry, I saw that Lip replied.

I'd have still spoken to the boss.

Apparently the 17 or so games so far this year is enough for Cub fans to start making Altuve comps for Baez.

Yu Darvish beat up again tonight.

When do they start to wish they resigned Arrieta.

Talk about a lack of control (the actions by the coach).
