Courtney Hawkins with 4 more strikeouts in 4 at bats. That gives him 35 Ks in 66 ABs so far this season.

His strikeouts have always been an issue, so that's not really news. He's not a prospect anymore.

Question: Are teams starting to pitch around Collins because he doesn't have much help in that Winston-Salem lineup?

From what I see/hear, yes. He's not getting much to swing at. Although he's taking some walks, he's getting himself out too.

I had that feeling. Although, I'm not sure it would be any different if they put him in the middle of Birmingham's lineup.

It might be a little better, but not much. Birmingham has a couple of guys that can hit the ball out of the ballpark. I have faith in Zack, he'll figure it out.

I read today that he's thrown out 10 of 14 guys on steal attempts. That is a significant defensive improvement over what we saw last season.
