My sympathies and condolences to Michelle and the family. Iíve always been someone who appreciates how someone lives with the short time we all have on this rock. Even though Iíve never met anyone on this board, I remember West from those old ESPN board which were just trolled by the the tigers fan which prompted West to create this board. Itís been a source of fun, joy, arguments, and discussions over a baseball team that we all love. The quality of my life has been improved by West, even though we never directly met. Thank you.

My Condolences to Michelle, Nikki and family on FWCís (Michaelsís) passing. Been hanging around WSI for over 20 years through all the incarcerations and enjoyed FWCís posts and insight. Thanks to him we have this place to come to and spout off about all things Chicago and keep in touch as in times like these.

Rest In Peace FWC.

I've enjoyed the fruits of FWC's labor since the Rivals days, and I have always been grateful for this community of Sox fans. It's too bad that cancer has claimed another from us. RIP West...
I also remember the Rival days and FWC's constant improvement of this site.

RIP West

RIP West, and deepest condolences to Michelle.

I haven't been active here much lately, but seeing some of the older names posting in this thread is a fitting tribute to West and the community that he built. Regardless of what happens with the site, it's a nice legacy he leaves behind here.

My sincerest condolences to Michelle and family.

Appreciative of what West created and maintained here, thankful to be a part of this community. I rarely post anymore but still check the boards with regularity, it's a great place.

That is sad to hear, condolences to his family. I'm always thankful for the WSI community and the place that he created, hopefully he knew how much his work meant to others.

I notice in the obituary it gave the donation request, didn't see it posted here so: As expressions of sympathy, donations to the Grand River Regional Cancer Centre are greatly appreciated.

RIP West.

Rest in Peace, FWC. Your work will live on. A beer for all you have done for us.
