Nice to see a little more distribution of our "Top 30" prospects (MLB site version) across the different levels of the organization this month.

White Sox: Moncada, Lopez, Bummer
Charlotte: Giolito, Fulmer, Gillaspie, Burdi (DL), Kordell (DL), Tilson (DL)
Birmingham: Jiminez, Kopech, Collins, Adams, Stephens, Guerrero
Winston Salem: Hansen, Dunning, Basabe, Clarkin (DL), Puckett, Fisher
Kannapolis: Rutherford, Cease, Burger, Adolfo, Sheets, Skoug, Call
Great Falls/AZL/DSL: Robert (DL), Nunez

Assuming the guys on the White Sox and Tilson will probably drop off the next version of the "Top 30", I think these guys might be candidates to replace them:

Jake Peter (2B, 24 yo, hitting .311 at Charlotte)
Tito Polo (OF, 22 yo, AA, .299 across 3 teams this year)
Seby Zavala (C, hitting .321 at A+)
Yeyson Yrizzari (SS, 20 yo, hitting .294 at A+)
Ian Hamilton (RHP, 2016 draft choice, 22 yo, 1.65 ERA at A+ (reliever))
Bernard Flores (LHP, 2016 draft choice, 21 yo, 3.73 ERA at A+ last 10 starts (9 quality, 2.72 ERA if you toss out 1 bad start))

A little surprised about Collins but glad to see it. Zavala needs full time catching duties. He has proven his bat is capable. Now he needs full-time catching experience just as much as Collins does. Having Collins at AA, Zavala at A+, and Skoug at A ball is indeed really, really nice to see.

As for who gets called up... perhaps Matt Rose or Johan Cruz are ready to come off the D.L. Or perhaps you demote take-your-choice from Birmingham's roster.

Or maybe you bring up Alex Call and Casey Schroeder from Kannapolis. Their spots could then be filled by a couple guys currently at Great Falls. C-Carlos Perez is hitting well there and was a fairly major international signing prospect a couple years ago. OF-Craig Dedelow has certainly shown he is ready for the A ball challenge. Logan Taylor probably is too.

I would also leave Adolfo and Rutherford to play out the season at A-ball and move them up next year. They are both young and should be moved along slowly. They are both playing well but not so well as to be totally dominating their league the way the equally young Eloy Jiminez is. That guy looks like he is going to be a monster.

And yeah, I think Yeyson Yrizarri looks like a real nice under the radar pick-up. Be interesting to see if he can develop into starter quality. Another 20 year old, I wouldn't rush him any.

Added note: Sheets stays put. He is only hitting .248 at Kannapolis and .143 over his last 10 games. He heated up briefly but cooled off again quickly. He and Burger have had a long year. They can (and will I suspect) move up next year.
Looks like it was one of each option. They reinstated Matt Rose from the D.L. The moved IF-Toby Thomas down from Birmingham. And they moved C-Daniel Gonzalez up from Kannapolis while moving Luis Basabe to the D.L.

That distribution IS nice to see. Still pitching heavy at the top and position heavy at the lower levels but moving up Collins and Jiminez shifts that dynamic some too.

Flores and Yrizarri were recently on the top 30 list so I think they are good bet to return to it. Seby Zavala certainly ought to get some consideration. Kid carries some lumber.

Jake Peter was on the list pre-rebuild and certainly has earned his way back into prospect status. Polo and Hamilton are good guesses for who else might receive consideration. Luis Martinez was also one of the last men bumped off the list by acquisitions so maybe he makes a return.

Wouldn't surprise me if Call drops off with the rough year he has had so perhaps another opening there too.
