That could be, but I have to imagine that the relay system they devised would be a lot harder to hear in the playoffs on account of amount of crowd noise.

I assume you want the game to have integrity? Or would you rather they just script the outcomes WWE style?

Would you be pissed if this **** was done in the series against the Sox?

How you get from my comment to what you posted is blatant projecting.

I want the game to have integrity. I just do not like hypocrisy.

Regarding this cheating issue, people were punished. More people will likely be punished.

Yeah, I think Cora will have less of a leash than Hinch as far as future MLB employment.

Two straight WS tainted by his direct involvement. He deserves to never coach again.

Shame the league can't go after all the WS related revenue, that would be as close to justice as we could possibly see. They still have their trophies and all the money and majesty that comes with it.

Do they have to take down the trophies? Are they striken from the records? Do their rings get confiscated? Does the winners share money get returned?

That's the myth anyway and apparently what you still want to believe. The Giants won three World Series from 2010 through 2014 with great pitching and contact hitting, and some would argue Bruce Bochy's veteran baseball insights key to building the greatest baseball organization of the decade.

Systematic cheating may well have been a linchpin of Astros' system, the insight that pushed them over the top because everything else wasn't enough. Using metrics to predict is a lot easier to do when you know and the opposing pitcher doesn't know you know, what's coming in key situations. To take such elaborate steps to steal signs in clear and flagrant violation of the rules, especially by a team expected to win, has to discredit the system.

In Game 7 of this year's World Series in Houston, the Astros came out in the first hitting Strasburg hard. I read that they didn't have a swinging strike. The story is that the Nationals figured out that Strasburg was tipping his pitches and corrected him before he went back out and shut the Astros down on his way to the win. As plausible as it seems, I've been wondering if there wasn't a little more to it.

The players involved in all this may not have been punished, but they are going to have this scandal to overcome to save their legacy. And many players believe legacy counts for something. Nobody names their kids after Sammy Sosa anymore.

They got more than life. They got "permanent."

The NCAA strips titles and it doesn't really accomplish much. It's a symbolic gesture mostly and I don't think most fans care.
