I like that Dedelow kid. Let's see how he handles adjustments.

I wouldn't worry about him being given a night off every once in a while. I noticed they did that for him in rookie ball too. At Kanny he is rotating positions between third with Remillard and DH with a variety of others. Probably just his night to rotate out.

Greatest Arsenal goal I have ever witnessed. Chills to this day watching it.

Yeah, I didn't realize he was out a second day when I wrote that. Thankfully nothing major. Kid looks like a beast so far.

Catchers getting a day off is normal also, particularly in the minors. But two days when he is clearly your #1 catcher prospect on that team makes me wonder if he took a foul ball or something also.

Impressive. 5 for 6, hitting .301 now, 2 doubles and a home run, 2 runs scored and 3 RBI. That's a full days work.

Hopefully he'll be in AA soon. And Chicago in 2019.

I can definitely see him finishing at Birmingham Starting in Charlotte next season and then going to the Big Leagues as soon as the whole Service Time/ Super 2 thing gets out of the way.

Listening to South Side Sox podcast, it seems like you're definitely not in the minority. It seems like most scouts or viewers are seeing what some of you are. He's ready for the jump.

They did bring up an interesting point in the fact the White Sox are being extremely conservative with their call ups within the system as well as outside of it. What do you guys think?

Specifically with guys like Lopez and the fact that we are creating a log jam by letting guys like Pelfrey and Holland pitch just because they are veterans. Much of their argument boiled down to that we may be being overly conservative just because we were overly active once.

Also, a lot of negativity about Collins.

I'm OK with conservatism on call ups through the end of the trade deadline- then I think they can pick up the pace a bit. I've noticed they seem more willing to "demote" a player if they're not performing than in the past. My theory with Lopez is that they didn't want him to get caught up in the series with Cubs right out of the gate- so I think he gets called up soon after.

I'm surprised about the Collins negativity- all reports are that his defense is better than expected, and he's been improving at the plate recently (.250 over his past 10 games, .271 for July), seems like having a little protection in the line up is helping.
