Default Top 30 White Sox Prospects, Midseason 2017 (FutureSox)

FutureSox has posted their latest Top 30 Prospects list here.

Thoughts? Anyone you think should be higher or lower?

I can't really argue with anyone's placement on the list.

Not everyone will make it, of course, but it seems that every player in the Top 30 has a real chance to become a major league contributor.

If just 10 of the Top 30 become regular contributors, that would be both a bonanza and a disappointment given the sheer depth of talent.

But though FRATER laughed openly, he wept secretly; and really he neither laughed nor wept. Nor did he mean what he said.

Birdie should probably be 13th. He's gonna be a great closer.

His having Tommy John surgery recently, going to miss 2017 and 2018, doesn't effect that for you?

Nope. TJ surgery success rate is so high these days. It's like the Herpes of baseball injuries. Quite a few of our prospects had it in high school or college.

With Moncada, Lopez and Bummer in the bigs, and with Tillson indefinitely injured, who are the 4 prospects that will replace them in the next update of our Top 30 prospects?

Guys recently dropped off the back-end of the list are:

P-Luis Martinez
P-Bernardo Flores
OF-Jacob May
P-Brian Clark
P-Matt Cooper
IF-Jake Peter
IF-Luis Curbelo
and some others.

I think it starts to get pretty weak after 30 (which is vastly better than weak in the top 10!) but a couple guys I think are interesting:

1b/3b - D.J. Peterson
OF-Tito Polo
P-Jace Fry
P-Victor Diaz (if he ever gets off the D.L. for more than a game or two)
C-Seby Zavala
SS-Yeyson Yrizarri
OF-Joel Booker
1B-Matt Rose
P-Blake Hickman
P-J.B. Olsen
IF-Mitch Roman
IF-Justin Yurchak
OF-Craig Dedelow
1B-Sam Abbott
IF-Ramon Beltre
IF-Lenyn Sosa
C-Kleyder Sanchez
OF-Josue Guerrero
OF-Anderson Comas

Not necessarily in that order and most of those guys probably peter out at some level but they appear to be the ones worth keeping an eye on at the moment.
