Velocity was supposedly down to 90-92 tonight for Hansen. I've got to think he's hurt and all the screwing around in the world isn't going to fix it much like Adolfo, who was fortunate that at least he was able to hit. We'll see, if the kid is hurt its time to get the surgery and start over.

And while I'm thinking about it has anybody heard word one on Dunning in the last month?

Plenty other good happening around the farm right now for me to keep losing sleep over Hansen. Same for Dunning.

I'm going to use that approach going forward. Yes I will continue to be bothered at the moment when a guy gets hurt but after that we'll see you when you get here(if that ever happens).

50:4 K:BB for Kopech in his last 38 IP.

Over his last 10 starts, 2.33 ERA and 79:18 in 58 IP.

It is insane that guys like him, Eloy, and Vlad Jr are still in the minors.

If he's hurt why would you have him pitch through it?

According to SSS, Hansen's short start was planned. I figure the idea was to work on mechanical changes, and he's probably still thinking too much, hence the reduced velocity.

Well that's an explanation I suppose.

Grez: I've known and played with plenty of guys who were actually hurt but didn't want to tell anybody for various reasons. It doesn't make sense to me but it happens.

In addition to Jimenez, Kopech, and Hansen, some other highlights from yesterday from top prospects:

Zavala: 2 for 5 with a 2B. He's hitting .292 since July 1.
Bummer and Fulmer each with a scoreless 1-2-3 inning in relief.
Medeiros gave up 7 runs in 4 2/3.
Gonzalez and Rivera keep on rolling offensively with 2 hits a piece. Gonzalez with 2 doubles. They're hitting .305 and .300 since their promotion to W-S
Rutherford 1 for 2 with 2 BB. He's hitting .306 for the season.
Henzman: 3.0 IP, 3 H, 0 R, 0 BB, 3 K
Bush 1 for 3 with 2 BB for Great Falls.

Flores (starting for the Barons tonight) leaves the game in the 4th inning due to an undisclosed injury:

I'm looking forward to seeing Burdi along with Eloy and Kopech up with the Sox next year.
