Default Aaron Judge fractures wrist on HBP

He's expected back in 3 weeks.

It mustn't be that bad if he's back in three weeks then.

I mean Delmonico got hit in the hand and he was out for what, five / six weeks? Zangari got hit just last week and they are saying he's done for the year.

I'm definitely no doctor, but I think there's a high level of variance in hand/finger injuries because there are so many tiny little bones and ligaments in there. If I remember right, the Giants closer Strickland put himself out 6-8 weeks by punching his locker last month.

I hope for the best for Aaron Judge, he's one of my fav players. I always get a little scared when I see a batter get hit by a pitch on the hands while holding the bat for fear of breaking a finger or hand.

I seem to remember Jeff Bagwell having back to back season ending injuries on just such a play and when he came back afterward he wore that bulky batting glove with the extra cushion covering the top of his hand.

The reports I read said late August/early September return.

To me that seems more realistic but I was going off of the original posters comment. The Yankees have a playoff spot wrapped up so they don't need to rush him.
