I'll add that Delmonico has made a couple really nice plays at third already for Charlotte. I was vocal in not being impressed with this defense during spring training. If I see more of that it might change my tune.

If Delmonico could become a competent defender at third and bring an above-average bat, I'd feel a bit better about this rebuild. He was highly touted elsewhere but seemed to be a headcase; if he's matured and plays somewhere near his potential he could be a good complimentary piece.

Still has a good inning 2Ks and a walk.

But a bit concerned at velocity, as I was in ST.

Kopech gives up a 452 ft bomb.

Has hit 102 on gun according to commentators.

4Ks through 2 IP

Brannon Easterling is a name that has sure flown under the radar...apparently he was the Sox' 20th round pick in 2014, but I never knew about him.

His career peripherals are pretty good: 241.2 innings, 218 hits, 53 walks, 177 strikeouts, only 12 home runs allowed. 1.121 WHIP.

Downside: he's only a month younger than Cody Asche, an age at which -- if you are a player in A ball -- at which you should look for another career.

Dunning now 8Ks in 6IP.

A little relief for me after seeing Giolito's High 80s fastball all night in Charlotte.

Rough outing for Giolito. Done after 4 1/3. 5ERs, leaves a runner at 2B.

Outside of the stat-line, just didn't see anything explosive in his stuff. Fastball sat 87-90.

Not good.

Just one start. To be fair though, we're not gonna hit on all of these prospects. That's why you gather as many as you can. Kopech and Dunning did well. Moncada just has that "it" factor. So we're 4/5 tonight. I'll take it. Hopefully we add Robert to the list of Sox prospects soon.

Is there movement on that fastball?
