Really bad weekend for Clemson as they get swept by UNC. Beer didn't do too much as he got pitched around a bit (as usual).

Season stats: .283/.458/.610, 159 AB, 12 HR, 40 RBI, 46 BB, 24 K, 8 HBP

Another disastrous weekend for Clemson as they get swept by Louisville. Beer didn't do much, contributed with a few RBIs but not much else.

Season stats:

.284/.460/.579, 183 AB, 12 HR, 42 RBI, 52 BB, 27 K

Another rough weekend for Clemson, as they dropped 2 of three to NC State. Beer had a nice weekend going 5 for 11 with a home run and the usual amount of walks.

Current stats: .302/.472/.608, 199 AB, 14 HR, 50 RBI, 56 BB, 29 K

Based on the season so far I don't think the Sox will have any chance to draft Beer next June but we'll see after they trade a lot of guys.

I don't know about that. If anything, the uber prospect shine has kind of dimmed a bit. He's still a high first rounder, but in no way the guaranteed #1.

Especially considering pure 1B types don't often go #1. Ones who have gone that high typically had better gloves.

Really lousy ACC Tournament for Beer as Clemson was sent home early with losses to Duke and Virginia. He has a chance to redeem himself as Clemson is hosting a regional round.

Current stats: .291/.462/.587, 206 AB, 14 HR, 51 RBI, 56 BB, 32 K

Game 1 of the NCAA first round, Beer goes 0 for 1 walking 3 times.

Other players of note:

Jeren Kendall: 2- 4, 4 RBI
Evan White: 2- 5, 1 2B
Brent Rooker: 1- 3, 1 BB, 1 K
Jake Burger: 1- 4, 1 RBI, 1 BB, 1 K

Ehhhhhh, sometimes. If it's any indication of what Clemson thinks of his fielding, he's DH'ing right now in the CWS.

1B/DH, Corner OF types don't go top three for sure. My guess is he'll go anywhere from 4-7.

Much better Sunday results for Beer, only making one out in eight at bats as Clemson stays alive and will face Jeren Kendall and Vanderbilt today in an elimination game.

Current stats:

.299/.281/.612, 214 AB, 16 HR, 53 RBI, 64 BB, 34 K

Clemson's season ends with a dud against Vandy, 8- 0. Seth goes 1 for 4, ending a disappointing season.

Final season stats:

.298/.478/.606, 218 AB, 16 HR, 53 RBI, 64 BB, 35 K

Agreed. It's not certain at all that he goes #1. He could definitely fall to the Sox.

I can't imagine he starts the season as the overall #1. A strong 2018 season will push him close though.
