Of course it's way too early to write him off but so far not so good.

They are changing pretty much everything about his pitching style on the fly, so I am willing to give him the whole year. That is one reason why I would rather hang onto Quintana for this year. We don't need a shortage of pitchers forcing him up too early.

Sox can always sign a vet to a minor league deal for depth, they also have guys like Covey who can eat up starts.

No need to pass up on the right deal for Q just because we won't have MLB caliber guys to replace him for this year. This year doesn't matter obviously.

Thank you! You can always sign another guy. I don't understand why some people seem to want to hang on to Q no matter what. When Sale got traded they didn't fill his spot with Giolito or Kopesch or any other prospect. Same will apply when they get rid of Q.

Giolito didn't look particularly impressive last night throughout, but the third time through Indy's lineup was a disaster. His command is his biggest problem in addition to the aforementioned in-game adjustments. And the fact that he's not going deep into games is concerning as well. But like I've said before, I'm not willing to rush him up here. Give him all the time he needs. We did that with Davidson and it looks like he's finally come around (though I wish he was playing every day).

You have to view Lucas through the right lens. For whatever reason, this kid with massssssssiiivvveee potential needs to be totally taken apart and put back together piece by piece. Obviously not the sure fire top prospect you would think you got, but at the same time, the potential to be a legit number 1 or 2 is still there.
