Default 6/16 games

Tonight's probables:
- Adkins for Charlotte
- Bullard for B'ham
- Haeger for W-S
- Harrell for Kanny

I'm just guessing on the last one.
I suppose it could be Gio.

According to the Scum-Times, AA Josh Fields was benched a few days ago for not running out an infield pop out. I was wondering if he was back in the line-up or not.

I love how the Charlotte website blames Josh Fields (P) for the loss last night. He pitched a perfect 8th with 3 strikeouts and then in the ninth gave up one run.....maybe their website people weren't at the game, but with bases loaded in the bottom half of the ninth with one out you have got to execute. That has been Charlotte's problem all year. The players call it the Charlotte special meaning if there is a way to lose or ground into an impossible double play, they will find a way!

Maybe the second half will be better than the first??? It can't be worse, or can it??????

Fields started and went 2-5.

No Gio for Kanny. He was called up to W-S.

The Knights lost 3-2. Adkins gave up a ton of baserunners (as usual) but, though some miracle, kept his team in the game. The other Josh Fields was charged with the loss after going 2 IP, 1 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 4 K. The closest thing to an offensive star was Lopez, who homered and walked. Burke also homered. Anderson got the night off.

The Barons continues to choke down the 1st half stretch, losing 9-3. Bullard got rocked in his 1st start since coming off of the DL, and the offense managed only 3 runs despite 17 baserunners. Owens 2-5, 2 RBI, CS, PO, .303. Gonzo 3-4, 2B, BB, RBI, .293. Rogo 1-4, BB, .316. Young 1-4, BB, SB, .238. Sweeney has been struggling and drew the collar.

The 'Hogs exploded again on offense and won 15-4. Haeger is now 8-2 with a 3.20 ERA. Valido 3-6, 2B, 3 R, RBI, SB, .316. Daigle 3-4, HR, 2 R, 5 RBI, E, .371. Amador 2-5, R, RBI, .268. Schnurstein scored 3 times off of 3 BB and a HBP. Myers led off, tripled, walked, was HBP, stole a base, and scored 4 times. He's been getting regular playing time at 2B since Amador moved to CF.

The I's won 8-6. Harrell was hit hard (5 IP, 4 R, 10 H), but the pen kept the game close. Delossantos and Josh Hansen had 2 hits each. Clint King went 4-4, 2 2B, 3B, BB, 2 R, 3 RBI, .261. Hopefully, he'll stay healthy and establish himself as a legit prospect after the Sox spent a high draft pick on him.
