Kanny's off, but there are 3 early games today.
Diaz started for Charlotte. They're down 5-3 in the 5th. Biko's got 2 hits and a RBI in the leadoff spot so far. B'ham trails 5-1 through 6 with all 5 runs charged to Tracey. The Baron's bats continue to slumber (3 hits), and Fields continues to ride the pine. Owens just hit his 1st HR of the season. W-S is losing 4-1 through 5 in what could be Dizard's last start. Schnurstein with a solo shot. |

Fields failed to run out a pop-out a couple nights ago and Shines went bonkers, that's the reason for his benching... |

The Knights tied it up with 2 runs in the 5th.
Not looking good for the Barons. Still 5-1, still only 3 hits, bottom 8. The 'Hogs now trailing 5-1. Dizard's done; his final line: 5.1 IP, 5 R, 4 ER, 7 H, 1 BB, 0 K. Castro's on in relief. |

The Barons rallied, but it was too little, too late. They lost 6-3. Tracey also was hit hard, but stuck around to complete 8 innings (5 R, 9 H, 1 BB, 8 K, 2 HBP, 2 WP).
The 'Hogs lost 9-4. Castro was good in relief, but Wasserman got shelled for the 1st time this season. Lee 2-4, R. Schnurstein 2-3, HR, BB, 3 R, RBI. Hinton 3-4, 2B, RBI. |

The Knights took the lead in the 8th and then added some insurance to win 9-5. Diaz was roughed up (4.1 IP, 5 R, 10 H, 3 BB, 5 K), but the pen shut Norfolk down the rest of the way. Baj earned a 2-inning save (his 8th) and lowered his ERA to 1.08. The offensive star was Pedro Lopez (!), who went 3-4 with 3 RBI, including the game-winner, but he also got picked off and committed an error. Biko 2-5, RBI, OF assist. Anderson 1-4, 2B, BB, 2 R.
