Kanny won 6-2. Another solid (but short) start for Russell: 5 IP, 2 R, 7 H, 3 BB, 1 K. Moat followed with 3 IP, 0 R, 2 H, 0 BB, 3 K. Zaleski finished up in a non-save situation. In a surprising turn of events, Cook K'ed 3 times but still managed to knock in a run with a SF. Hansen homered, walked, and scored twice. King also scored twice after being walked and HBP. Ricks played 2B again and had 3 hits. With the addition of Lucy, I doubt he'll see much (if any) time behind the plate. Speaking of Lucy, he's heating up nicely: 2-3, 2 RBI, SB. Castillo has been playing 3B recently. He was 1-3, BB, RBI.
BMac starts for Charlotte tonight. I'm guessing it'll be Lubisich for B'ham and Whisler for W-S. |

The Knights are losing 3-2 through 4. BMac with 6 Ks.
The Barons trail 1-0 early. The 'Hogs are in a shootout, leading 12-7 in the 4th. Whisler was knocked out in the 1st, but Lopez came in and shut them down. Collaro with a 2B, HR, and 5 RBI already! |

The Knights still trail 3-2 through 7. BMac's final line: 6 IP, 3 R (all in the 4th), 5 H, 2 BB, 7 K. The other Josh Fields has an inning of scoreless relief.
The Barons are down 2-0 in the 4th. The 'Hogs now lead 18-11 in the bottom of the 6th. Frederick finally got to Lopez in his 4th inning of work, but Hernandez followed with 2 scoreless innings for W-S. Collaro hit another dinger and has 7 RBI so far. Lee, Hall, and Molina also with a HR each. |

How many days are left in the first half of the season for the minors? Also, does anyone know anything about Carlos Lee's bro, Carlos in 'A' ball? Is he a prospect or a career minor-leaguer?

2-0 was the final in B'ham. The Barons managed only 5 hits (including 2 each by Gonzo and Sweeney) and committed 2 errors (both by Gray). Fields remained benched. He's not in the lineup today (6/15) either.
21-12 (3 TDs v. 4 FGs) was the final in W-S. Valido 4-5, 2B, BB, 3 R. Collaro 4-6, 2 2B, 2 HR, 3 R, 7 RBI. Lee 2-5, HR, BB, R, 2 RBI. |

FYI, this is Daigle's 6th full season in A-ball, and he has one full season in AA as well. |

"Are you trying to suggest that he's not a prospect? You're so mean. He's at least as good as Casey Rogowski and Nook Logan!" |

Then again, it's just because I disagree so I crap on that idea/poster... I don't see the other side of the coin... yadda yadda yadda I have little patience for that level of ignorance and pure stupidity. |
