John Stephens

The Sox have apparently signed John Stephens and assigned him to AAA.

If you're not familiar, he was with Boston and was also a Baltimore farmhand. Very soft tosser, and that's an understatement. Lost all velocity after an injury years ago. But he has pinpoint control and has had a bunch of success at the minor league level.

He's one of my favorite guys to watch pitch. I like the signing a lot.

They released Joe Winkelsas to make room for him.
