Kannapolis lost 3-1. Russell the losing pitcher. Berry was 2-5 with the lone run scored. Batting .296. Winston-Salem won 8-4. R. Rodriguez with the win, 2-0, 2.45 ERA. Second baseman Amador was 3-4 incl. a HR and 3 rbi. Birmingham won 8-1. Meaux got the win with 3 1/3 inn. of great relief. Owens with an excellant game, 2-3 with 3 runs scored. Charlotte lost 10-5. Villacis the losing pitcher, 0-2, 13.00 ERA. Borchard Watch: 0-4 with 3 Ks, batting .152. On the bright side, Anderson 2-4 incl. a double and an rbi.

The bad news is that Ryan Sweeney pulled up lame with a hammy. He's day to day. Of course if it's pulled, it will be quite a bit longer than that.
