Gio Gonzalez pitches well again
Don't know if you guys noticed, but Gio Gonzalez is breezing through innings in Bristol. It's a small sample size, but his numbers are impressive:
6 IP, 4 H, 0 ER, 1 BB, 12 K That's a great way for a young man to start his major league career. |

This is the same kid they said on draft day could start in Kannapolis if I'm not mistaken. Very encouraging.

I know nothing about the guys the Sox drafted, but it's so ironic that after reading the little blurb on Gonzalez, I knew he was going to be good. They talked about his curveball, and praised other aspects of his game. It's encouraging to see another pitching prospect.

Another strong outing for gio today. 3 innings 1 run, 6 k's 0 walks. I love the 0 walks, with the stuff and control this kid has, he's got a real chance to be special if he can stay healthy.

I wanted to give this thread a bump and ask for some updated numbers on how the kid is doing.
Thanks in advance. |
