Moises Flips Cardinal Fans His Urine Stained Finger
Funny, I read the Cubune story about the Cub game and no mention of Moises flipping off Cardinal fans. I'm shocked!
Kline survives confrontations with Cubs, La Russa
By Bernie Miklasz
Of the Post-Dispatch
...Cardinals manager Tony La Russa wanted to schedule 12 rounds with reliever Steve Kline...Kline, outraged that he wasn't called into the game after warming up in the sixth, slammed his glove to the bullpen ground and directed an obscene gesture toward his boss.
When informed of Kline's tantrum, after the game, La Russa's legendary temper flared.
"Give me two minutes," La Russa said, "And I'll be standing on top of his chest kicking the (bleep) out of him."
Tony La Russa or Tony Soprano?
La Russa roamed the clubhouse, looking for Kline, and found him in the team's shower room. No shouting could be detected. No St. Louis police officers, or medical examiners, were called in. La Russa quietly reemerged by himself.
We were about to conduct a search for the body when Kline reappeared. He was wearing a towel, not a tourniquet. Kline had no bruises. And he offered no apologies, either. "No big deal," he said...
...The Cubs joined the fun. Left fielder Moises Alou flipped an unfriendly signal to Cardinals fans after they taunted him for making a two-base error in the fifth. And after the bottom of the seventh, Cubs pitcher Kent Mercker and catcher Michael Barrett were ejected by home plate umpire Sam Holbrook.
