There is a great trib article that says that AJ wants to broadcast a game with Hawk...oh that would be fun...

Hint: He may not be the only one this upcoming season.

This means he's going to get penciled in for Soxfest most likely.

Unless he had something planned before this was decided.

AJ always got the loudest cheers of anybody whenever the starting lineup was announced. To not have him in this role would be a travesty.

Hawk is scheduled to call the three home games against the Cubs in September. I don't know what the plan is but putting AJ and Hawk together for the Cubs series would be soooo worth it. Imagine the level of irritation Cubs fans (and media) would have! A Cub fan's favorite outspoken Sox announcer (in his last season ever) paired with their favorite outspoken Sox player. It's a dream matchup. Both guys would literally say whatever was on their mind. I'm hoping Bob Grim makes this happen.

I doubt A.J. would be goaded by harrelson. A.J. has a Fox gig and Im sure Fox wouldnt appreciate him talking cubs crap.

On The Score this morning he said he is in Hawaii during Soxfest for his daughter's travelling volleyball team. This was scheduled before he was approached by the Sox to rejoin the organization.

Jose Contreras and HOFer Tim Raines are also joining the Sox as team ambassadors.

Michael Barrett won't let him, though.

I was a doubter, but maybe, just maybe we can win with pitching, defense and fundamentals.
