Default Cleto's back!

Sox purchase contract of Maikel Cleto from AAA Charlotte to take the place of Taylor Thompson

If you extrapolate this move out, next year they are gonna replace Adam Dunn with Adam Dunn.

I was anxious to see which Sox reliever was next in line to be called up and promptly get bombed.

Throws nasty ****. Where he throws it is another matter.

Perhaps Cleto will fail in a more amusing way.

I really like Cleto's arm. Much like Webb, he needs to throw strikes.

Agree about his arm, and his control.

Do bad pitchers throw more walks, or do walks make for a bad pitcher?

Yes.

Lets cross our fingers and hope Cleto can find the plate this month.

Look, why can't the Sox go old school with the bullpen? I'm talking the days of Ed Walsh and Eddie Ciccotte where the bullpen was hardly ever used. Of the 140 regular season games played that year, 88 were complete games (63%).

Problem solved.

I don't think Walsh and Cicotte have quite the same arm strength these days.

Still better than a few of the stiffs still employed though.
