Default I need a guide to historical box scores and game results.

Does anyone know of a site or resource that provides box scores and/or game recaps from any dates in recent baseball history? I ran across an envelope in some old boxes containing ticket stubs from the 1988 season. One was 6-8-1988. This was a Brewers at White Sox game in which Yount hit for the cycle. I know this because I jotted a note on the back of the stub. The envelope was marked"Historical value!!!" I cannot recall why I saved these. Help me out if you can. Thanks

Yeah, for some reason I lean towards retrosheet over Baseball Almanac....I kinda like the bare-bones, no bells and whistles layout. They're both good, though. I could spend hours going through old box scores and lineups. I love seeing guys playing historically out of position, like Baines playing CF for a spell in 1983 or Konerko playing 3B at the beginning of 1999.

I like looking up old games that I attended or watched on TV to try and see how my memory holds up. Not perfect by any means, but pretty good for the most part.

If you're into mining baseball data and know (or want to learn) some programming I can't recommend this book enough:
