"When I heard the National Anthem it hit me," Jose Abreu said through White Sox spokesperson Lou Hernandez. "I love the Anthem. When I learn English Iím going to sing it."

Abreu
still on target for Monday return, but remember, there is no set target date. He's doing well, no setbacks per RV

Jose Abreu taking some hacks after he took 40 grounders. #WhiteSox
#WhiteSox may not send Jose Abreu out on a rehab assignment, per Robin Ventura. Workout in progress today.

Daryl Van Schouwen ‏@CST_soxvan
Rick Hahn, Ken Williams, Ventura watch as Abreu takes BP. Finished by hitting one in LF seats
Abreu took 40 ground balls at first base. More lateral movement, throws to second etc before hitting in cage.

Brad Salgado, one of the Minor Leaguers throwing to Abreu, is converting from infield to pitching. He came from extended spring

Abreu was fine after getting hit. Took about 10 at-bats, hit one that bounced over the CF wall. Ran out a few as well

Abreu looked good. Target remains Monday for his return

Abreu just got hit by a pitch in the elbow area in his simulated game

Glad to hear he's progressing and will look to be back in the line-up soon. As far as Paulino, wonder what we'll do with him.

Avisail Garcia
"I feel pretty good. My arm is moving a little bit more," Garcia told MLB.com. "I'm looking forward to see if I have a chance to play this year. I don't know yet. I have to keep working and see what happens.
"I'm positive. Hopefully I have a chance to play this year. So let's see what happens. We never know."

Hope hes talking about maybe a little winter ball down the line. No need to rush him for this team.

Avisail Garcia
When the White Sox are in town, Avisail Garcia shows up at U.S. Cellular Field to rehab his surgically repaired left shoulder, but leaves before the game starts.

Nate Jones
has a long way to go before he'll be ready to join the bullpen, but he's confident he'll pitch this season and is just happy the process has started.

Nate Jones
joined the White Sox to continue his rehab work. He underwent a microdiscectomy in May to correct ongoing back issues leading to hip pain and could return in late July or early August.

Avisail Garcia
who is out for the season due to surgery repairing a torn labrum and avulsion fracture in his left shoulder, also joined the White Sox on their road trip.

Adam Eaton
hoped he would be able to return on Friday, but he was held out of the lineup and is day to day.

"It's probably hamstring more than anything," Ventura said. "Similar to what he had last time [when Eaton was placed on the 15-day disabled list], just not to the degree that he would need to sit out as much. But I think it gets to the point where [his legs] are tired and sore, and you have to rest them."

It's kind of unnerving that Robin says "This is similar to what he had last time he went on the DL" and the puts Eaton in the starting lineup.

Adam Eaton
Given a day, I felt like they took a sigh of relief, a deep breath and I'm able to get back out there today," Eaton said. "... Probably continue to deal with it. Not out of the woods for sure, but hope to fix it in the next couple of weeks. "

Matt Lindstrom upbeat and feeling good as he joined the team today. Feels that he's ahead of schedule in rehab process

Garcia is taking BP today. Sounds like his recovery is well.
