Default Kendrys Morales to Twins

Kinda surprising - Twins thinking about making a run this year?

Looks like the Twins feel close enough to make a run at a wildcard anyway.

They have the money, with that stadium still drawing well.
Sox still play them plenty so not good for Sox.

A little bit surprising. Minnesota's bats haven't been too bad. The Twins' pitching, however, is the worst in the American League. Maybe they think they can outhit their poor pitching more often with the addition of Morales.

Apparently, someone in the Twinkies organization hasn't heard that good pitching stops good hitting.

They do have some good pitching in the high minors, no? Wouldn't be surprised to see Alex Meyer come up soon.

Good move. Don't waste a pick; don't use prospects.

Could it just be signing a tradeable asset for July?

Likely. Looks like Drew and Morales both lost millions with their holdouts after turning down their $14 million qualifying offers. I guess they could argue somehow that it'll help them next year. Contracts are definitely a risk-reward game, and it looks like both guys "lost" at it.

Yep, and whenever their assphat agent loses, he whines and cries foul.

Perhaps a charge of collusion as he asks the court to ignore all his other clients' contracts.

They're not going to go hungry any time soon, anyway.
